More than 100 employees honored at annual event
Fairfield, CA (May 12, 2026) – Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District (FSUSD) proudly celebrated the dedication, service, and impact of its employees during the 2026 Employee Recognition Reception held on May 7, 2026, at the Hilton Garden Inn in Fairfield.
The evening began with a welcome from FSUSD Superintendent Jennifer Sachs, who thanked the Board of Education for their unwavering commitment to excellence, and recognized labor partners for their shared vision and collaboration. She continued by sharing: “The individuals we honor tonight have shown resilience beyond measure, consistently rising to the occasion with grace and determination over their tenure in Fairfield- Suisun Unified. Their commitment to the betterment of our students and families knows no bounds. With every action, they have demonstrated a steadfast belief in the power of education and the transformative impact it can have on young people’s lives.”
Unit Presidents then presented the annual Unit Member of the Year recognitions, honoring outstanding employees from across the district:
Jacqueline Muńoz – Ancillary Professions Association (APA)
Sandi Fallon – California School Employees Association (CSEA) - Clerical
Patrick Springer – California School Employees Association (CSEA) - Support
Steve Trotter – Fairfield-Suisun Management Association (FSMA) - Certificated
Ilana Israel Samuels – Fairfield-Suisun Management Association (FSMA) - Classified
Marni Beaumont – Fairfield Suisun Unified Teachers Association (FSUTA)
In addition to being named CSEA Clerical Unit Member of the Year, Sandi Fallon was recognized for an extraordinary 46 years of service to both FSUSD and CSEA, as well as her retirement from the district. Sandi has worked in many different roles - currently as Secretary to the Principal at Cordelia Hills Elementary - and started working for FSUSD in 1980, and has been on the CSEA executive board since 1988. Marni Beaumont was also acknowledged for recently being selected as FSUSD’s Certificated Employee of the Year. Marni, currently a 1st grade teacher at Cleo Gordon Elementary, went on to represent FSUSD at the Solano County Teacher of the Year celebration.
The district also celebrated milestone years of service achievements and retirements, with the Board of Education Trustees handing out the honors and giving accolades. More than 100 employees were recognized in total, including:
40 employees for 25 years of service
14 employees for 30 years of service
4 employees for 35 years of service
Retirements were also recognized, representing a total combined 987 years of service to FSUSD. This included three retirees from the 2024–2025 school year, and more than 40 retirees from the 2025–2026 school year.
FSUTA President, Pam Williamson, shared: “Congratulations to all our members celebrating years of service milestones. Your commitment to our students and their families is a testament of your dedication to what’s best for all our students and their future. As some of our members embark upon a new chapter in their life’s journey, we wish you well for the best is yet to be.”

"This year, our awardees - Sandi and Patrick - are two outstanding members who work every day to support our fellow employees as well as our students and our schools. They exemplify what it means to be CSEA and a classified employee."
"On behalf of FSMA, we are proud to recognize the leadership and dedication of our colleagues," shared FSMA Co-Presidents, Alison Guernsey (Principal, David Weir) and Chris Clark (Director, Technology Support Services). "The commitment of all of our employees and their lasting impact on our school communities shined through at the event."
The annual Employee Recognition Reception is put on by the hard-working team in Human Resources, and serves as an annual opportunity to celebrate the employees whose dedication and hard work help create supportive learning environments and positive outcomes for students across FSUSD.
